Morning in the park – Kagoshima Park

I started my day in the wonderful Kagoshima Park Burswood with the threat of a rain looming the sun struggled but hung in there. I am going to photograph Yanni and Belinda’s ceremony in two weeks and he wanted to show me this place. Very stylish park within a short walking distance from Crown Casino. The park has ideal natural backdrops that every Perth Wedding Photographers could benefit from. I love the statues, the beautiful native flowers, the gorgeous views. Kagoshima Park is just beautiful! I could not help be inspired by a park as this. After the meeting I stayed in the park for another half an hour. Even though the clouds where thicken, the sky wasn’t fully covered so the light was perfect for photographs. Hope that you like them.

Juliet & Leston at Acqua Viva on the Swan River

The Acqua Viva restaurant has an absolutely gorgeous, secluded spot on the Swan River, but also a first rate wedding venue with a wedding package which is entirely bespoke and dedicated to making your big day as unique and special to you as possible. What more did I need from such a lovely location. What a lovely place for your dream wedding…with views to die for! So that lucky Juliet & Leston were, having there wedding at this place.

I was able to capture the essence and emotion of the ceremony itself. A lively and animated couple, I found them easy to photograph and accommodating to the camera. The reception, the exterior provided some wonderful landscape perfect for wedding photography. Inside, the couple and wedding party were washed with evening sunlight, beaming in through the grandiose paned windows lining the venue.

Delightfully decorated in white , the room was filled with laughter and joy as a very happy celebration of the nuptials began. Perth Wedding Photographers, myself included, always look for unique ways to photograph the loving couple. As the dancing and party continued into the night, the couple and guests didn’t hesitate to give me ample material for my camera. I am thrilled to have been a part of their special day and wish Julie & Leston the very best.

Capturing Your Dream Wedding

The day started cloudy with a promise of bright sunshine for the rest of the day. The ceremony was initially planed to take place on the beautiful beach at Port Coogee Marina but, the weather man lied! As soon as the quests started to arrive the sky was fully covered by dark clouds and a heavy rain was just around the corner. So we all moved to the back-up place near a beautiful lake with an undercover area, big enough to cover everyone for the 30 minutes ceremony. The ceremony was a beautiful service. It was a happy, emotional with some excellent readings. I personally think the moment that defined their wedding for me, was while Courtney walking down the aisle with her father. But I believe the perfect moment was once the happy couple were along side each other.

Reportage Wedding Photographer

This was my first wedding of the 2013 wedding season. My intent with this blog, over the coming months, is to showcase my work to the people getting married in Perth, Western Australia. Hopefully, it will give a better understanding of the quality of photography I offer. Melodie & Brendan were married on a rainy Friday in Kings Park, probably the most favorite place for Perth Wedding couples. It was a low key, but very personal wedding. There were only few people (including Melodie & Brendan) at the wedding. Was a great atmosphere and very easy for me as I was able to grab the photos I wanted and have a good laugh. A perfect combination I think…and made all the more special by the fact that this was a French – Aussy wedding. It was a grey afternoon with a dull sky threatening rain. The sky was bright and there was no rain but the threat was there. As a consequence, the light was lovely and soft and the clouds were very dramatic. It was visually stunning and wonderful to work with. After the ceremony we all headed to East Perth where the reception took place.
