Frequently Asked Questions

Will you meet us before the wedding?

I always have at least one meeting with the couple before the wedding day. In fact I would encourage it. It is very important for you to get an idea of how I will be working on the day and let me know what your expectations are of me. If for whatever reason we are unable to meet pror your wedding day, I am also available for video chat on Skype or Yahoo Messenger so you can put a face to the name.

I’m getting married next year, why do I need to book you so early

Wedding photography, like everything else associated with a wedding like the venue, the decorator, the planner and the caterer – is a commodity that gets booked months and years in advance. There are clients who like a certain photographer, and just KNOW that nobody else will do a great job. Booking your dates as early as possible guarantees that you won’t face any later hassles and will be another item ticked off your wedding checklist!

Do you keep a copy of our photos?

I    typically only keep clients photos for 1 year. I strongly suggest backing up your photos. You can make multiple DVD copies, or back them up to a hard drive. If you lose your images and need another copy, and I still have your session, I can replace your images for a free.

Are there any restrictions on what I can do with my photos?

The photos are yours to use for any non-commercial use you’d like (printing at home, making an album, having prints made at a photo lab, posting on Facebook, etc). I only ask that if you post these to Facebook, please add a photo credit for George Photography.

Have you shot at our venue before?

If I have not been to your wedding venue previously, invariably I will go and visit prior to the wedding, to get a feel for how your special will pan out. So when I visit, I am mainly looking for ideas of where I can do the romantic photoshoot and create a plan of action from that.
